Description
Multiband cobweb antenna works on 6 HF bands and up to 2000W (peak power) / 1600w (SSB)

This antenna has sides of the square 2.65 x 2.65 m, and is very useful where space is limited.
This antenna works well as an antenna for your base but equally well as portable for holidays and field work due to it’s folding boom arms.
It’s unique design allows this antenna to be quickly and easily set up within a few minutes.
It’s design is very strong and robust, and is resistant to strong winds.
The antenna is contructed from glass fibre rods, aluminum, stainless steel and galvanized steel and has a sealed connector box resistant to rain and UV rays to keep the balun and connections from the elements.
The antenna works well on DX and as a QRP station.
It is pre-tuned to different bands at a height of 4 metres above the ground. Raising the antenna above 4m will generally see SWR decrease.
Bandwidth on 6 and 10m may require the use of an ATU to cover more of the band..
This antenna is omni-directionally so you do not need a rotator.
It is made up of folded half-wave dipoles for 14, 18, 21, 24, 28, 50 MHz
Polarisation is horizontal and is naturally resistant to some electrical interference and static.

10 days from placing my order to taking delivery. Well packaged and received undamaged. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble and mount on a temporary pole just 2m above ground. A quick sweep with my VNA confirmed the antenna’s “sweet spot” in the CW section of each band as I had requested. Being rather keen to try the antenna and unable to get it into it’s final position until the following day I tried it on it’s temporary mast. Worked 9K2, W1 and VK3 easily running 200w. The antenna is now in it’s final resting place just 5m above ground but works great on all bands…..outperforms my long wire by a mile!

A really fine antenna, well made, lightweight and good looking and a pleasure to dwell with the owner. At 10m high, it does well on DX. However, it will not be take over 400W in CW, the balun saturates and the SWR goes up. Also, at this power level, on a rainy day, the insulators melted down and I had to replace all of them with larger ones.
